Some tutorials!
After being motivated by Chaplain, I decided to make a few tutorials of my own, focusing on making a world from start to finish.
Later on, I would like to add some programming examples, GUI, etc.

For now:

1. Creating a new world: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWl8TcrzDeo
2. Sculpting terrain/Materials: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyz8gKqiQfI

I recommended checking out Chaplain's tutorials as well. After all, I just stole his idea! grin

RE: Some tutorials!
It would be nice if Esenthel had one channel on youtube. To all users can instantly add videos

RE: Some tutorials!
As with Chaplain post, it would be good to move this to wiki :-)

RE: Some tutorials!
I like your tutorial. I think it helps a lot of people, because it is exactly the kind of tutorial most of the people are serching for. Everything from the first step is explained very well. So you can learn very fast and nearly every question has been blown away.
Thumbs up, and I hope it wasn't the last of your tutorials.

RE: Some tutorials!
Wow, I am amazed at how much I learned from these!

If we keep this up we may have to start an Esenthel Universitysmile

But really, great tutorials. Not trying to put any pressure on you but definately keep them coming.

RE: Some tutorials!
I was just going through this tutorial again and came to a show stopper. When I go to insert the character I cannot change it from OBJ_CHR to player as you show in the video. The OBJ_CHR is the only option.

Any suggestions?

RE: Some tutorials!
You're missing the file Data/Enum/obj_type.enum.h. It is responsible for displaying the available object types in World Editor. You can edit it however you like.

thaqnks, it worked like a charm. For some reason, if you specify a different filepath the Engine does not copy all the files in the enum folder. I copied them manually and it works great.

I checked my other computer and it was the same way.

Thank you for the help.

RE: Some tutorials!
Thanks for the response, I'll have a look if there is any need on how to set up your project-directory.

Also, working on the next tutorial. But conditions aren't optimal during week-days, because walls are pretty thin where I am now. ^^

RE: Some tutorials!
Looking forward to seeing the new ones! I am currently working on importing a custom NPC and setting him up. I'll create a tut myself once I get it working.
