Blending textures
Hi all!

Just wanted to share this article:
https://unionassets.com/blog/mixing-text...dscape-194

In two words - the technique can increase quality of several textures blended together.
We can get this

from this

It would be great to see it in EE, hope Greg will leave comment to this post smile

RE: Blending textures
Of course it's cool,

I've added this to the roadmap for future development: "better looking terrain multiple material texture blending"

There is a downside though, this would increase the "engine.pak" because many shaders would need to be duplicated.

RE: Blending textures
Thanks for your answer!
I think that size of duplicate shaders is more important than blending quality.
One of the key features when choosing engine is graphics, so this improvement will be very pleasant for the engine itself smile

RE: Blending textures
Agreed, a very good point aceio76. Where possible features like this should be switchable; so nobody's game gets compromised.

Great to see this feature has been added to the roadmap as I'd love to see this in the engine at some point in the future!
