Esenthel Engine supports following sound formats:

  • WAV - wave - no compression
  • OGG - ogg vorbis - lossy compression


You can edit sounds and convert to different formats in GoldWave tool.

Sounds can be played in 1D or 3D space, with custom volume, looping and other parameters.


Music system allows playing Ambient and Music separately.

Each of the group handles Music Themes.

A theme is a set of tracks.

For example you can have "Battle theme" built out of 3 audio tracks:

  • "battle 0.ogg"
  • "battle 1.ogg"
  • "battle 2.ogg"

Then you can order the Music to play the "Battle theme", and from now on, those tracks will play in random order with crossfading support.

Simultaneously you can order the Ambient to play a different theme.


Esenthel Engine supports separate volume control of:

  • sound effects
  • voices
  • music
  • ambient
  • general volume
