Removing JRE solved the javac1.8 not found, now it tries looking for tools.jar in the right folder.. installing JRE again causes the same problem for the non-steam EE only, steam EE works in all case...

Wow win8 was short lived... I'm still on XP and 7.. I'll probably wait till near the end of the first years free upgrade period, to see if they announce win11 or it turns out that 10 is the new 7/XP.....
