Hey there,

I've been exploring impoting meshes and using the material editor in mesh edit, which has led to me ask if there are any plans for supporting objects created with WorldCraft/Hammer/Torque Constructer/Getic3d (and several others) CSG style modellers used primarly for creating buildings consisting of multiple textures.

The current workflow (correct me if I am wrong) would be to model a building in your app of choice - then import it into mesh edit - then you would need to go to every wall/floor/ceiling and reassign materials... this is rather painful. It would be great if the mesh would look for a material of the same name as the texture applied in the 3d app...

btw: outstanding engine! I've looked at and used MANY and the rendering and 'feel' of your engine is superb!

Hello,

Currently only .X file formats are imported with automatic material setup,

if you wish another file format to be imported with automatic material setup, please send me a sample set of files (mesh + textures + material informations) and I'll see what I can do about it.

And thanks for the comments on the engine, I very appreciate your opinion.
