If you are going to take new computer then according to me it have configuration:

Just built a new one!!! I never put one together before so I learned a lot. I feel like I got 3 times the computer for half the money. All together I spent about $1350 (without the moniter, mouse, or keyboard).

It is the difference between night and day so far!

I haven't had time to run it through the works yet but I never realized how much my comercially purchased laptop was lacking. And the commercial computer was more expensive.

I also need to get one of the latest dx 11 cards and a better processor some time soon.
But I'm pretty happy with my monitors (one Full HD 120Hz Acer for 3D Vision, secondary 1680x1050).

System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, Q6600 2.4 GHZ, 4GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 260 GTX 896 MB DDR3
