Stream in the woods
First I must say Esenthel is one of the better looking rendering engines anyone will find. A person can really tell that a lot of work went into this engine for it to be able to render such graphically intense scenes at very high frame-rates.

After playing with esenthel for a few days and converting a few models I had, i decided to see how far I could push the engine ... and I was quite amazed at my results. Not only did it render beyond my expectations but it did it at a smooth and constant 130+ fps... Heres the scene I worked on:

I'm so much impressed with Esenthel that I'm beyond words.. I congratulate the authors and community for making this engine what it is..

Thanks.

There is always evil somewhere, you just have to look for it properly.

OK, so give us more information. At 130 FPS what kind of machine are you running? Also, are you using the object placement brushes or hand placing your assets. Finally, is this just a small patch you have done or do you have a large area covered.

Really looks great!

RE: Stream in the woods
Hi, thanks for the comments everyone.
Equipment = AMD Athlon core2, 5000+, g280, 8gb ram, win7 x64..
At the time i was using only individual object placement but have since learned about placement brushes. The scene, at that time, was fairly large - while not covering a complete map it was still nearly 50% full of objects.

Not hardly, i'm merely a coder but i'm surrounded by a very talented 3d artist whom has stuck it out with me for the past decade..

Could you give a few more stats about the amount of objects and the size of the world from a terrain point of view? I think everyone would love to see a screenshot from up in the air to get a better picture of the size. wink

Yep it's very down.
Oh and, if you tell fps, also tell your pc specs and resolution.
