RE: Esenthel on this Computer?
Yeah, Zervox is right - that's your best bet if you don't already have a windows disk. But if you do you can save a lot of money.

But the most important thing you choose, for Esenthel, is:

"NEW! NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1GB" - just avoid (at any expense cost), getting one of the cheaper graphics cards. The memory upgrade is important for day-to-day use if you run lots of stuff in the background.

RE: Esenthel on this Computer?
Well, the CPU is slower than the one Chris and I talked about, the video card is also slower, besides it's an OEM Nvidia 3xx card meaning its a cut down Nvidia 4xx card.

Also..

True price: £849.99
after Discount: £599.99
Save a total of £250.00
Plus that discount is already over long time ago.
(£849.99 from 12/10/10 to 10/11/10)
meaning you will pay more than twice the amount for a computer that is weaker than the one I and Chris talked about.

Basically by modifying the computer I and Chris first linked to the "discount" price computer you linked you can get,

6 Core 2.8Ghz Cpu
8GB DDR3
NEW! ATI Radeon HD 6850 1GB
windows 7 64 bit premium

and still get out cheaper at
£550
and that rig will then be way more powerful than the first setup and the one you linked last.

RE: Esenthel on this Computer?
Yeah, it's a very very bad buy, even at £599. You can get a computer about 3x faster for that kind of money. For example:

http://dinopc.com/shop/pc/AMD-870-Chipset-110p896.htm

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition - this has 6 cores @ 3.2 ghz each (the PC world one has 2 cores, this one has 6!!)
Thermaltake Frio - this will be cooler and quieter than what PC world offers
8GB DDR3 1333mhz (2x 4GB) - that's double the RAM
1TB S-ATAII 3.0Gb/s - double the hard drive
NEW! ATI Radeon HD 6850 1GB - a graphics card probably about 5x faster
Xigmatek Asgard - upgraded case

£598.71 - Cheaper! You shouldn't be put off buying from the internet, nearly everyone (with sense) does it for the above Q.E.D reason smile

But if you can get a BETTER computer at a LOWER price, then I don't see why you would even consider getting the bad one. smile

RE: Esenthel on this Computer?
Yep, I see no reason for you to buy from pcworld - it's by far the worst computer shop I know in the UK.

Second to DinoPC (i've bought several computers from them), I recommend pcspecialist (never purchased from them, but they look the same) - they let you pay monthly.

Go here:

http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/computers/...office-pc/

Select a GTS 450 for the graphics card, and configure the rest as you see fit (I recommend an X6 processor, and at least 4gb of ram - the rest doesn't matter - good to buy a non-stock cooler, and a quieter power supply etc).
