mesh.draw() and draw list

Where is this 'draw list' maintained and how can I manually remove a mesh that I don't want to draw?

I'm also interested in being able to remove items from the shadow draw list.

If you don't want to draw the mesh, override the drawPrepare method and don't call the __super::drawPrepare(); line. It's the same way for shadows, except in the drawShadow method.
