Aah, man. It would be awesome if I could use that to generate a heightmap of the continent I'm after or--better yet--an importable map!

I wonder if it's possible...

you can create heightmaps from google earth as well if you wish to have a heightmap of an actual continent.

Yeah, I know about that too, but I was hoping for something more...detailed, I guess?

Also, whenever I use a heightmap it ends up looking very noisy for some reason. Peaks everywhere, even in areas that are supposed to be flat. Perhaps it's just me.
