Questions regarding Android development
Hi there,
I have some questions regarding development on android devices (mobile and tablet).
I just bought a tablet (acer iconia a510) so I wanted to try to develop a little mobile game for it.
Well, I already took a look at unity, but there are some issues connecting my device with the unity editor. Besides, Unity Pro is way to expensive.

That's why I wanted to check out this engine again (I used it a year ago). Before I buy a license I have some more questions:
  • Is the android version limited or does it support all the graphics features (like realtime shadows)?
  • Is there a 3d demo for android available? I would like to know how well games made with this engine run on my device. Or are there any finished title except the 2d rts?
  • I read somewhere that development for android is only possible in Eclipse? Can I also use Visual Studio or the Esenthel code editor?

I am also curious about any further information on android development or what experience you guys made during android developmen.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Questions regarding Android development

Mobile renderer is limited (no realtime shadows) - http://www.esenthel.com/wiki/index.php?title=Mobile

Besides RTS you can check out Esenthel Editor which has some 3d models - https://play.google.com/store/apps/devel...d=Esenthel

Since last SDK you can use Code Editor for Android development on Windows (setup and usage is super easy)

Acer Iconia 510 has Tegra 3 (same as my Transformer Prime, so your Esenthel performance will be very very good)
