RE: [Android] Bug Kindle Fire
The crash is because application stops responding.

RE: [Android] Bug Kindle Fire
Hello,

Can you confirm that you're playing the sounds on the tap of the button, and not every frame when the button is visually pushed? (does it work properly on Windows/Mac?)

Could you try testing some of the EE tutorials with sounds (like sound tuts from EE 2.0)?

Could you try using different sound files in your game? (wav/ogg/stereo/mono/different Hz Frequency files)

Thank you

Yes on tap (using function button.func = ...), not every frame. It works fine on Windows, iOS and Android, just crashing on this device.

Could you try testing some of the EE tutorials with sounds (like sound tuts from EE 2.0)?

Tutorial 09-Sound / Sound.

I've changed some lines of update method to work with touches. All working as expected.

But if I change metal.ogg by button_19.wav, here we have the crash, calling SoundPlay(...).

Looks there is a trouble with .wav and KF1, I've found many sites talking about KF1 and latency on sounds...

RE: [Android] Bug Kindle Fire
Thanks, I see that the file is 48k Hz stereo, could you try resampling the file and testing a few combinations like:
48 k Hz mono
44.100 k Hz stereo+mono
32 k Hz stereo+mono
22.050 k Hz stereo+mono

Edit: Also, can you tell me your firmware version? Does it have latest version installed?

Edit2: I've found some suggestions on the internet related to audio, however to audio completely missing:
Quote:You have to switch off the "Dolby" setting in the symbol panel under Settings / Extended / Menu/ Sounds and Display and reboot the device. If this is not working, reset the device to factory defaults and perform the settings mentioned above afterwards.
Could you tell me if you have such options in the Android config, and if changing them affects the issue?

Edit3: Also it might be worth checking the minimum length of the sound file. I see that the sound is very short, you could try doing another set of tests where with the sound including some silence (added in some audio editing program) and re-saved to a different wav file.

Thanks

RE: [Android] Bug Kindle Fire
48k Stereo => Crash.
48k Mono => Crash.

44100 Stereo => Crash.
44100 Mono => Crash.

32k Stereo => Ok.
32k Mono => Ok.

22050 Stereo => Ok.
22050 Mono => Ok.

Edit1 => It is the last version. 6.3.2_user_4110520

Edit2 => I don't see that options :(

Edit3 => I think that length is normal for a button sound (there are even shorter).

I've tested with 48k stereo + ~0.4 seconds (total ~0.6s), it crash, but was hard.

RE: [Android] Bug Kindle Fire
I should return the device soon. At moment, I will change my sounds to <32khz or to .ogg.
