Companies like paid software because it makes them a 'client' instead of a 'user'. A company will bend over backwards to please a client that is giving them $50k a year. That's what companies are willing to pay for.

Blender is good software for modeling. But to create good textures better is to use other programs as xNormal. To generate different textures from color or normal map there are also some programs for example CrazyBump or Knald. Great Work.

Looks nice! If you’re not baking out final textures when finished consider using a texture atlas to keep your draw calls down. You could use the same atlas for multiple buildings of the same style.

This is my next to last picture for this model. The next picture will be of it finished. And then after that...I'll probably show it in the game engine before I move on to something else.

I quickly made a world to showcase this model. I hope everyone likes it. Hopefully I'll be able to make a whole town, and sell them soon. smile
