rock tecture ?
ive spent 2 days now on trying various photoshop techniques on getting a seamless rock tecture to look 3 different ways.. a rough tecture (easy enuff) for being on a mountainside.. a chiseled less rough as in its been worked some, still easy enuff and a glossy smooth as in polished look (this is stumping me)

i can play with the spec till im blue in the face but the reflective isnt up to it, it doesnt actually reflect 1.0 version btw.. i prolly dont understand it enuff to get the look im wanting.. can someone point me in the right direction for this?

Thanks Rissa

RE: rock tecture ?
Hi

I'm not sure which aspect you're looking for, but if you can not see the reflection maybe you're not including the reflection map in the material.

You can include them simply by dragging the texture in the material editor (Reflect frame).

for best results you need a cube map image format, you can create by dragging the 6 images with the appropriate names, at the end of this page there are more detailed information:

http://www.esenthel.com/wiki/index.php?title=Material

(You can see an example in the warrior folder: armor.mtrl use reflection.gfx)

another reason could be that your reflections are disable, try to add in Init:

D.texReflection(TEX_USE_MULTI);
