punch through
is there a way in the engine too punch through the walls with an other model

trying too use doors and windows on my meshes
and what i want too know if there is a way too punch through the other model

i have say 3 models for my door
the door
the frame
and the punch through

I guess you could make different mesh versions (default, partially damaged, damaged, broken), and just swap them out when they have been hit.

Have a look at the CSG boolean operations in the Mesh Tutorial #13.
That might be your answer to making openings in your wall (or, as you say, "punching through") smile

Thanks 3draddict can't get to pc now but will check that out and thanks for quick reply

Oh and thanks tottel for that good idea about swapping them out

But all my models for doors and windows have there own model for punching through walls

hey 3DRaddict or any one i have tryed too add my 2 models the wall and the door punch through but i get all sorts of errors any help i would appreciate

i haveb pictures of models too show

Can't help you with CSG but this might suit you as well.

Underneath your Init() you seem to have an entire block of code that isn't inside a function. Is that a copy-paste error?

yeah it was thanks

right i managed too get it kinda working in my test map
not in the rpg 2 source

but cant rescale it
and when i put in a other wall model and punch model nothing happens
