RE: Benchmark Tool - Nature scene
Nice Benchmark but it seems i have a problem on the menu, the mouse pointer hotspot for the buttons is being detected outside the visual graphic, this means that when pass the mouse over the button nothings happens, i pass the mouse on empty space above it glows.

This is my setup

Windows 10 pro
RAM 8GB
Intel i7 2.8Ghz (3.0 overclocked)
GPU AMD R9 270X OC 2GB
GPU drivers 15.7.1

RE: Benchmark Tool - Nature scene
I had the same problem.

There are only 4 available screen resolution options:
1366x768
1440x800
1920x1080
1920x1200

If your default screen resolution is not one of these then you get the problem.
I solved it my editing the 'UserPreferences.txt' file to one of the above options

Argoon and 3DRaddict: What was the resolution set to in UserPreferences.txt?

It should automatically pick one of those 4 resolution based on your screen resolution. If your monitor is not set to use one of those 4, it will pick the closest one available.

RE: Benchmark Tool - Nature scene
Please use D.modes to obtain a list of supported resolution by the monitor.
(however mouse cursor not being over gui objects correctly, will be fixed in upcoming engine release today, this was an issue in the engine where a display mode was selected that's not supported by the monitor)

RE: Benchmark Tool - Nature scene
Hello Esenthel,

I could use D.modes, yes. But then it would be near impossible to compare scores with other people. Since that's a list of 10-15 different resolutions.
On the other hand, picking your own resolution would be better for your own personal comparisons..

RE: Benchmark Tool - Nature scene
I found what the problem was, AMD VSR (virtual super resolution) i disabled it and bang the menu rendered correct. But this shouldn't have happened because even tho i add VSR enabled on the drivers the benchmark resolution was set to my native resolution 1920x1080 so VSR should add no effect at all, but it did.
Btw first application that add this problem on my PC.

Looks awesome, i really like the mood and the contrast between the warm color close to the fire and the blueish tint further away.
Also did you check about the small character/camera offset or was it just me experiencing it?

Georgatos: yes, that is fixed. smile EDIT: In case you are curious, I was updating the camera before updating the world. I had to reverse that order.

Thank you! Wait until you see the whole scene, more screens will follow.

RE: Benchmark Tool - Nature scene
Very nice scene, reminds me of thief or Amnesia.

Btw i would lower a tad more the specular on the wood and the rock wall, would make it more realistic, but that's me.

RE: Benchmark Tool - Nature scene
Thanks guys!

@Argoon: I'll see if I can tweak it a bit, but ultimately, I want a bit more specular and light than in real life. smile
