Medieval Engineers
Someone was going to release a proper terraforming medieval sandbox implementation sooner or later and i have to say it is more than interesting.

I think they use marching cubes for their voxel terrain and mesh models on a grid to assemble their castles and machines. I think it's a good choice and creates a good balance between freedom in terraforming and good detail in the player constructions. No need to mention their physics stress system which seems simple and i guess will work well on big scale also and across the network.

I do recognize their tree models (http://shop.pure3d.de/5-pines) as the ones i was planning to use as reference to build mine in my free time project. smile

So fairly good choices this far, that's the base any good medieval sandbox should be built upon imho, if they also implement a good first person combat...

RE: Medieval Engineers
There are many algorithms based on or similar to marching cube as you no doubt know.

I've played alot of Space Engineers and I am looking forward to Medieval Engineers. : )
