RE: [Android] Crash Galaxy ACE
Hello,

Can you run this APK http://www.esenthel.com/download/Temp/apk.7z on your device and attach here the log output from
"/mnt/sdcard/Esenthel*.txt" or "/mnt/extsdcard/Esenthel*.txt"

However judging from your output, the crash occurs not inside the app, but during loading of the app binary by the system?
Can you check if you have enough free space on your phone? (in the past one user had problems with running apps on armv6 cpu, however the issue turned out to be not enough room on sd card)

RE: [Android] Crash Galaxy ACE
Device has more than 300Mg free.

I cannot run the apk, when I try to add the file with Kies, it says "Application 1-debug.apk presents a file format that cannot be reproduced in 'GT-S5839i"

When I add the .apk with massive storage, and in phone tap the file, it says " Analisis error" There was an error parsing the package.

Messages translated from spanish.

Edited: It works in GS3.

RE: [Android] Crash Galaxy ACE
Finally I installed it (downloading from dropbox).

It crash, and /mnt/sdcard/Esenthel*.txt file is not created.

I don't know, I only see a black background during 5-6 seconds and then it closes.

Same logs than tutorial example.

RE: [Android] Crash Galaxy ACE
Hello,

Unfortunately I have no idea what could be wrong.
The crash report looks like the app is not yet even loaded (as the callstack lists system functions "/system/bin/linker", but no esenthel function). It looks like the system is trying to load the app (link it) and the crash occurs during that linking stage.

Also your previous messages
Quote:I cannot run the apk, when I try to add the file with Kies, it says "Application 1-debug.apk presents a file format that cannot be reproduced in 'GT-S5839i"

Suggests that there may be some compatibility issue between your device/cpu/os ver and the app.
I have compiled the app using standard google compilation toolchain (executed by EE) for armeabi and armeabi-v7a (so armv5, 6, 7 and higher are supported)
You can investigate the contents of the APK and see that binaries for both armeabi and armeabi-v7a are present.
APP_ABI := armeabi armeabi-v7a
APP_PLATFORM := android-9
LOCAL_SRC_FILES := ../../Installation/EsenthelEngine-$(TARGET_ARCH_ABI).a

I don't have your kind of device so I cannot do any tests to see what's wrong.

RE: [Android] Crash Galaxy ACE
Hmm, I will investigate with Addr2Line. Let's see if I can symbolize the line where crash occurs.

See the logs again plz, you can see lines with libProject.so, which is EE.

EE supports ARMv6 without Vector Floating Point (VFP)?

RE: [Android] Crash Galaxy ACE
Hello,

Yes but it looks like no EE function was yet called. (there is no EE func on the callstack).

Quote:EE supports ARMv6 without Vector Floating Point (VFP)?
The only thing I can tell you is that I compile Esenthel with default options when it comes to cpu settings (I don't set any flags related to cpu except to compile for both armv5 and 7)

I think if CPU does not support FP in hardware, then it will emulate its calls in software.

In the past when I distributed only armv7 libs, one person informed that the engine does not start on his armv5 phone, after I've provided armv5+armv7 libs, the app started working on his phone, which means that armv5 works too.

I'm having the same problem with essential it doesn't work with the default option may be it's because of the different CPU settings, what to do know can any help me with this?
