Another Question
Hey! I've been fooling around with the Esenthel Terrain Editor, and it makes my mouth water (now that I actually know how to access it- its much easier to use than say, Cryengine...)
HOWEVER... I have two very import beginner questions...
A.) How do you make an unlimited world? The current "largest world size" is listed as "128..." not sure what the units are on that but the default is almost pathetically small... Moreover, when I move the camera about with WASD, the box around the world moves, so it cuts off part of my map...
How do I create an unlimited world, as advertised? Do I need the licensed version?
B.) The engine only comes with three textures? Do you know of a good place where I could get more textures, and, because I'm probably going to need alot of textures, a good software in which to MAKE textures?
C.) AND...
How (not "can", I know it's possible, but HOW) do I import L3DT maps into Esenthel? I'm a beginner there to, and my attempt to export a map into Cryengine was a complete fail because I needed a "Raw" file and it didn't appear to be an option in the "export" list...

RE: Another Question
A) World size is in areas. The reason it's cutting off is because you are zoomed WAY out. Each area could be 10km^2 if you so desire. 128^2 areas isn't infinite, but if your scale is 10km^2 per area, that's something like 160,000km^2 to work with. Not to mention, to have a truly infinite world size, you need to be using procedural generation rather than the world editor.
B) The engine does not come with many assets, but if you look at the Assets tab in the EE store or search google, you will find plenty.

RE: Another Question
Great, thanks...
So how do you change scale?

RE: Another Question
1 unit in Esenthel is a relative scale. You can say 1 unit is equal to 1 meter, or 10 meters or a kilometer. It depends on how you scale the at assets you import. If you bring in a 3D model of a guy and scale him so he is ~1 unit, you can then say that 1 unit is ~6 feet or ~2 meters.
